| This elegant basin was commissioned
by Kirkstone Ltd, and was designed and produced
in Kirkstone slate by Andrew Horsfall. In the process
of designing this basin Andrew also looked for a
sculptural solution to provide an overflow. The result
was the patented ‘Wellspring’ overflow
design.
Wellspring consists of a circular reservoir from
which the water faucet rises like a fountain. When
installed at a suitable level in the basin it simultaneously
functions as an overflow.
On most basins the overflow is an afterthought, and
looks it. Here, it emerges naturally from function
and form. |
